14. Think of ratings as is in seaman terms and you go to the barbers for one.

got 13 now - should have looked up words for brood etc. ages ago. Can't see conection to 12!

85) is a hidden word - which I had never heard of in that context anyway.

i can't give you stars for your clue but if I could you would get 3 as I have now got them both.

I had seen the word for 85 but didn't find the 2nd definition until I got out the trusted Chambers. What a surprise.

I'd only heard of the word in a fishy context before checkig out chambers.

I still hve 10, but have not given up hope.

I have got 3 left to do - 33,67 and 86. I keep reading the hints already given for no. 67 but still not helping.

JimJools think of a very short hairdo for no. 14 popular with skinheads.

I have an answer for 67 and 86 but I am not sure of them - 67 the second word is a word for a group of horses being excersised I found it in Chambers, the first word I am unsure of - I think in may be a number? Or it could be another word for your work?

Another clue for 13. another word for a litter also gives name to wood used to start a fire. Begins with a K

Thanks for help on 67 keep coming up with one word meaning entire number but my Chambers is not helping at all. But then when I look in the glossary of horse terms I find another word for a group of horses exercising.

Have finally got 67 borrowed a friend's Chambers which gave the definition re a group of horses whereas mine doesn't but does define this word as an entire number.

I can now relax and have a glass of wine before retiring for the night.

Yes I have got the bill so only left with 86 but that can wait until tomorrow.
