ST cryptic & GK

Was I on form or were the puzzles slightly easier this week? The cryptic especially I found better - challenging but solvable in 1 go.

I haven't done the GK but the cryptic was straightforward although I wondered if some ABers would put Garlic for 9a !

What is 9a in the cryptic ..pleaaase ! If I could just get that one the two I have left might fall into place .

Gallic..... Sauce= Gall +i + c (note) = French

Gallic = French sauce = gall + I + c(note)

I agree that GK was relatively easier today, but was pleased to pick up another addition to my limited vocabulary with Zugzwang!!

Only just looked at it, (shame to waste this weather when there's landscaping work a-crying out!) but agree GK seems pretty easy today (presumably not compiled by KM??) . Hiya, kk, prob pick your brains later, when I have a cryptic chill-out......... Only pleased that I cracked griddler in 35 mins this morning (bighead...!)

Yes I actually finished the griddler without having to re-start it!
