MM Links Game Solutions April 2007 [Week 4]

I can now reveal that the link words to be the last selected during the reign of cliffyg are:

Boundary LAYER
Bowling ALLEY
Pitch FORK
Wide ANGLE

... bringing a challenging end to a fabulous month with inspired link words!

Ah Well, We got one each this week so no crowing this week. :-)

The very quick responders failed to score on this "sticky wicket" but it was Jools who struck first with BOWLING ALLEY as Entrant #7. She was speedily followed by rogerr & jan1959 to pick up bonus points for the same link (applying the Two-minute Rule). Many entrants picked up on the tenpin bowling theme, but just not the correct link word chosen!

Next to fall was PITCH FORK at 09.04 to FoxLee ~ a sharp lady who is often in the early points scorers. The other link words went in the next minute to have all four words claimed by 09.05!

Dealing with WIDE ANGLE first: that was spotted by the WIDE-EYED jan1956 with her second big Hit ~ netting her FOUR points and making her the "Hot Shot
of the Round"

Now for the devious BOUNDARY LAYER. That was spotted by the equally devious burgess3334 and let me not delay any longer in announcing that burgess3334 (aka Alan) is the MM April Links Champion. The May crown is his and he will be the setter throughout the month of May!!

It is with mixed emotions that I close down the MM Links Game for the Month of April. For there to be a winner there must also be losers ~ but I prefer to think of you all as "future winners" and look forward to next Month's Contest!

There can be no more worthy winner than burgess3334! Excellent!

I shall be sad to see the dislodging of cliffyg, who has been the latest in a line of dedicated (and talented)Link Setters!

However, bring on KING ALAN and let the fun continue!

See you next week same time (some unearthly hour), same place (third shrub on the left) and come with sharpened pencils (and even sharper wits) .
