porshe 924
Have an old porshe 924 and its all good apart from its been stood for a while and when I come to start it ,it fires straight away but after a few revs it dies out. When I try to restart it ,nothing again ,its as if just enough fuel gets in to let it start but then nothing.. Leave it for a 1 hour and it starts first time for a few revs and then dies again.
Have fitted a new battery and it turns over well.
It turns over as if it is out of fuel but has plenty in it.
It had run out of fuel so put ten litres in it.
Does the injection system need bleeding if so how do I do that.
Any answers please Thank You.( Baffled )

If this happens when warm, try checking the control pressure regulator. This sets the proper fuel pressure, and create a problem. If the problem only exists when the engine is cold, look in the cold starting problems section of this FAQ. Otherwise, see the CIS tuning/diagnosis section of this FAQ and go through all steps to ensure that all CIS components are properly functioning. Also ensure that the ignition components are new and in good condition, and that the ignition and timing are properly set.
