I think having found that a domino was a cape we should have been allowed that but now I see it was an anagram I can see how they then got the earth one
Also didnt see what was wrong with mamas and papas but judges decision is final and all that
Backing group wasnt listed with K7
All in all I think we did well and heres to a hidden thread for the next one - lol

Jean, I understand from my sister Kay (EVSAJO) that you are based in Derbyshire, snap, we live in Chellaston. Still waiting for my answer sheet to Fiji, do you have the latest quiz from Stoney Middleton, it's cryptic clues to coastal towns in England and Wales, due in 28th September?
Bye for now

Aan I guess you mean the smile quiz dont you. Well all I can say is it doesnt make me smile. I hate geography. I have done some but will wait for some answers from my friend as her geog is better than mine.
Just got the new HGSFA or whatever today and that looks a killer - too many pics and logos. Just counted up and I have 15 ready to post off and 10 on the go - sad or what!
I actually got 150 on fiji when it came back so if I had been allowed dominoes I would have been second and stolen your sister teatowel - lol
You missed off the dreaded small budweisers but other wise I got same wrong as you but did get both bits of 78
I live near Chesterfield
Wonder how long a thread can stay open - lol

Jean,
The thread will still be going this time next year unless we start a new one, I dont have too many quizzes going at the moment, only 6, Let me have the address for the HGFSA one, then we can exchange answers. As I share prizes with my sister, I think I have the teatowel on Monday, Wednesday and Friday!
Bye for now, going to make a start on the "Wild Ones" Derbyshire Wildlife Trust quiz.

Jean, wildlife going slowly, we are in the process of moving house (that is when ours is sold) so its a matter of doing an odd clue here and there between sorting out the loft. We went walking in Chatsworth on thursday, the first dry day for ages. Back to Wildlife, so far I have done 17 in section 1, I haven't looked at section 2, finished section 3 and thats as far as I have got so I wont be asking for help just yet. I am going to send for the Marie Curie quiz, I need something to keep me occupied!!!!!!!

Morning Jean,
believe it or not I only need 7 in Smile, one of which I'm 99% sure of. I need 18, 55, 57 this is the 99%er, 85, 87, 93 and 94.
I'm just trying to finish Macmillan H 2 O quiz, can you give clues to 61, 74, 75, 80, 88, 98 and 99. Then its all systems go on The Wild Ones,
If you want any help with Smile, let me know,
Bye for now

Smile I will probably steal all my friends answers or not do it at all. I guess when I have no other quizzes I would like more but still have several on the go.
H two O - I'll give you answers if you want but presume you knew that
61 first word slang term of thousand
74 last word is a posh word for father
75 word for depressed then an anagram of 3 words in the clue
80 look up innominate then its a book title
88 phrase which means a novice immature etc
98 not sure how I found this but it is a song by someone called Leon
99 third word a letter that sounds like water
I hope I am better at answering them than setting clues so hope these help
Wildlife
Are you implying you have the limited greek and french lost one that no one seems to have??
Clues
What do Warburtons make? so what is he
nickname for maureen is in the middle of a word for dropping
surname is an anagram then who was Mr Hancock for the first name
second name word for corvid
type of pear for second name
Sorry I didnt see this earlier and hope these help
