Mephisto
24 Answers
I've just won the Mephisto...again! I mentioned here the fact that I'd won one first and two consolation prizes in that competition within the space of just a few weeks last summer. And here we go once more.
The postcard informing me doesn't say whether it's a first or a consolation this time, but what the heck am I going to do with yet another Bloomsbury Dictionary if it's the first? A pair would make a handy kitchen steps, I suppose.
At least - for people who ask if it's possible to win these things more than once - I can offer them a resounding "Yes!"

As I had a Mephisto win some time ago I have been following your advice ever since- but no success. I bet you did it in your own name again?
Congratulations K

Thank you all so much...you're very kind.
What actually happened last summer, Kayakamina, was that - having convinced myself I'd never win again under my own name - I then entered once or twice in my partner's name...same address, of course. When one of those won, I grasped that they did not consult any record of winners' addresses at least. Thus emboldened, I reverted to entering as myself and, within weeks, had won again! And yet again now.
The message would, therefore, seem to be...just keep bashing 'em in!
