Please help! numb hands and now nose bleeds!
2 Answers
Hi i know i need to seek further medical help but just wondered if anyone has had this prob or can sugest what it might be! The question is actually related to my mum she has had a long term arm injury and has had three ops (4th on the way!) but is now suffering from cold numb fingers on both hands but worse on uninjured arm, they started just in the morning but now seem to last all day they are cold and numb she sometimes describes them as like stone and when she tries to move her fingers they wont move and then just quickly jolt into place. She went to the docs three times and each time they send her away with a different reason they have said it is related to high blood preasure tablets and then next time told her to take water retention tablets tried all this and nothing works it just feels like they are making stuff up! She is now suffering from very bad nose bleeds 3 times a day which has never happened before! sorry its so long but if anyone can help or shed some light i would be very pleased as really worried!!

Maybe the arms is something to do with Raynauds, I have that problem and that's what I was diagnosed with. It's to do with circulation and everything. The blood travels to parts of the body but due to certain changes, eg weather, stress, it decides to send blood to other areas instead of hands, sometimes feet etc. If they're giving the wrong medication then it could have adverse effects...then again...with my medication one of the side effects IS nosebleeds. But yeah, I'm only saying maybe because I'm not a doctor and yadda yadda but it's worth looking into...
