This is gen2 here to set the link words for June. It nearly didn't happen because I was away last weekend for a wedding but I am back now with a selection of four link words to tease you with. My thanks to everyone who offered congratulations last weekend.
I have followed the same rules as before on word length. Each of my chosen link words contains at least four letters and at most eight letters. Stray outside this range and you'll be wasting one of your attempts!
The competition will officially close on Sunday Evening at 7.00pm when crofter will declare my selected words and then apply the same rules of awarding points that have been applied during the MM Link Games in the past.
My first set of four words should appear below at 9.00am and you are invited to predict what I have chosen as the missing links. There is as usual a theme to the four words I will post but there is NO theme to the words I have chosen to go with them, so anything goes.
I dont know if you are all aware of my location, but I have run away to Scotland with the crown for the month of June and Im looking around me for inspiration will I find anything that is not the same as in England? Will I be eating jellied eels and Yorkshire pudding to celebrate?
But there again, last month Burgess gave you some culture with a theme from Shakespeare so I wandered whether to do likewise and draw my inspiration from one of the Lakeland poets. Did any of them write anything comparable to the Darling Buds of May? I wander?
You know something? I feel like a naughty boy here as I stand in my shoes wondering whether youll pre-empt me with the starter words for my links here at 9am.
Yes it was John Keats 'Song About Myself' Verse 4,
'There was a naughty boy, and a naughty boy was he,
He ran away to Scotland, the people for to see. . . '
I gen2 challenge you to predict my chosen links to the following words:
GROUND
YARD
SONG
CHERRY
Don't all push at once now, the exit from the shrubbery is wide enough for all.
Good luck!
