hi there i had seen that but is gentian a colour?
It's often used to describe a particular shade of blue, so I'm not sure if it would count but probably would
I had wodered a bit about that, but your clue is remarkably similar to the Chambers definition that I think it must be right.
Chambers - any plant of the genus Gentiana,usually blue-flowered. abounding chiefly in alpine regions.

Additionally there is an antisepic called gentian violet
