21 Answers
This fourth and penultimate week of the extended reign of gen2 followed familiar lines and I can now reveal that his chosen Link Words were:
SHERIFF(S) Court
INTER Net
Fault LINE
TRUE Love
I have not yet processed the last two dozen entries, however what follows is based on the first two sheets!

That person was Christiana who came in at 09.02 as Entrant 3# and almost scooped the pool. She correctly predicted the first THREE link words and picked up SIX Points to add to her previous total of ZERO Points to make her Hot Shot of the Week and rocket her into the lead for this months running totals! CHEERS FAR AND WIDE!!!
Within her two-minute wake came burgess, kettledrum & freebi 2 to pick up bonus points for FAULT LINE. Once again, FoxLee fell just outside the two-minute window to qualify for a bonus point for her INTERNET (Im truly sorry FL)
slaney suffered this same fate with her FAULT LINE, however I enjoyed the brave attempt with KANGAROO COURT! No further comment is necessary here!
Shortly after (at 09.06) LaneyB came as Entrant #16 to capture the last scalp of TRUE LOVE (and Fault Line) to pick up THREE Points. Thereafter scoring slowed down to a trickle!
The congestion at the top of the Leaders Board has just got worse. Last weeks front-runners inched forward a point or two, but others have joined the following pack and Christiana has eclipsed all!
League Tables (with one week to go)
SIX Points: Christiana
FIVE Points: bangor & kettledrum
FOUR Points: Alibobs & FoxLee
THREE Points: bridgenut, Dinkypuzzled, LaneyB & lysander
I would have said that next months champion should be one of these ~ but look what happened last week!
With everything to play for next week: same time, same place ~ this is crofter signing off once again. Heres wishing all HAPPY LINKING

MESSAGE from gen2
Talk about falling on deaf ears. At 8:57, three minutes BEFORE I posted my words, Dinkypuzzled identified two words that I had hidden in my preamble message and posted them for all to see!. Alibobs then posted confirmation. I thought to myself "This is almost over before it starts". Imagine my surprise then when NEITHER of them suggested either word as an answer - and neither did most others !!!
'There's none so blind as will not see'
Fortunately Christiana DID see the light and so Congratulations Christiana on your excellent score this week.
Unfortunately, the truth of the matter is that 7 people went for my red herring and chose 'letter' which wasn't one of my chosen links this week.
Take care with those hints and better luck next week. Yes, that will be my last one and then you can all breathe a sigh of relief as everything returns to normal for July.

We give up. I've said it before and I'll say it again, "We must be lucky in love."
Congratulations Christiana and all those in the pack who will be definitely nipping at her heels come next week.
Thanks Gen2 for a wonderful selection.
And to our friend Crofter - Time yet for a new abacus? - Thanks once again. Without you it just wouldn't work.

Well I did recognise the hint for 'fault line' and only after posting realised I should have gone for internet as well but the other 2 completely passed me by!
Congratulations Christiana on your super sensitive antennae....I doubt that I'll be competing next weekend.....it's THE WEDDING....I feel as excited as if it were my own!
Thanks Gen2 for a good puzzle and Crofter for keeping the score.

I can't believe my strategy worked after all those nil points, but absolutely delighted. All you others on zero take heart, one week can make all the difference. This is the first week I've really tried to 'read between the lines' on Gen2's preamble. Next week, who knows, will probably return to zero - but it's great fun trying. Thanks to Gen2 for taking so much trouble and structuring it all so carefully and for Crofter for the meticulous scoring week after week.
Well done Christiana. I just don't seem to be on anyones wavelenght at the moment. Thanks gen2 for the good choice of words with plenty of scope (even though I pick the wrong answers) and thanks to Crofter for scoring, even though I didn't score anything. Next week I will be at my younger daughters home in Brixham so will have to rely on my dear Much Older Brother to be ready by the phone for my answers. Will also miss the Shrubbery gang so see you all in 2 weeks.
Another excellent set of link words from gen2 ... and well picked up Christiana ... quite impressive!
Crofter also continues to excel with his imaginative presentation, whilst I imagined I had scored maximum points .. but wrong again!!
I will be AWOL for the next two weekends, but look forward to seeing who is champion elect when I return. (S)

Even now it has only just dawned on me about the answers! I thought about sherriff, line and true but was convinced these were going to be the link words! As soon as they weren't they were out of my head, it never occurred to me they were the\ answers. You are a canny Scot gen2!
Thanks always to Crofter for his agile arithmetic ability
