I achieved only 99-and-a-half because I put SKELETON CREWS instead of SKELETON STAFF.
How did you get on?

For only the second time in about 14 quizzes I managed 100, and I didn't use AB for help.
It's horrible to get 99 or 99-and- a- half , with me it's because of a spelling mistake, a missed pleural or mostly
a wild guess in the hope the puzzlers will take pity on me.(they don't)
Anyway, well done Chakka, here's to the next Rainbow quiz.

Thanks, lakegirl, and well done! Yes, I often lose that last half-mark by making some silly slip when going through the tedium of transferring my answers to the entry form. But no excuse this time: I actually got half an answer wrong.
Any clues allowing me to identify you in the list? Shame that they no longer give towns of residence.

Oh, and I never use AB either. Not that I'm pious; I just don't see the point. What satisfaction and pride would you now have in your 100 score if you'd got some of the answers from others? I'll never understand it.

Oh Chakka, how frustrating! What a shame. Funnily enough I had a conversation with someone on here (can't remember who) about that very question. He thought it should be Crews too. Ah well, when do men ever listen?! :o)

I looked for your name on the one hundred percenters list (and if you're wondering how I know it, I read your letter in The Times a while back), but couldn't see it there. I assumed your copying across on the final paper had gone wrong again as you said it does at times.

I feel a bit mean telling you I got 100 per cent now.

WELL DONE, NAOMI! You don't have to feel mean, for heaven's sake. But how did you know that the letter in The Times was mine?
I had no debate with anyone about CREWS vs STAFF. The phrase "skeleton crews" just came naturally to my mind and, lazily, I thought no further.

Aha! How to track down the elusive Chakka!! Miss Marple strikes again! No, not that clever really. On one of your posts on AB you said you'd had a letter published that day, so I took out my trusty copy of The Times to have a look. There weren't many letters on the particular subject - and I knew from the content which one was yours Elementary my dear Chakka!

No, it wasn't you I had the debate with on Crews and Staff. I'd have remembered if it was.

Actually I wasn't suggesting that your debate was with me, merely confessing that I didn't think hard enough about that clue - sheer carelessness.
Right now, give me a very difficult clue as to where you are in the list of honour. It's not fair that you should have sussed me while remaining a dark lady yourself.
