My granddaughter has a question from school asking for animals of the Britsh Isles starting with every letter of the alphabet but is stuck with I. Can anyone help?

ibis is not really a British bird- we get the occasional accidental. If you want a bird try icterine warbler - fairly rare but a summer visitor or for an insect you could use the ichneumon wasp
