Just moved in and finding trouble with opening & closing the windows which have a typical three position DBL Glazed Units handle- 'down' for closed 'level' to open like a door and 'up' to tilt.....you probably know what's coming ! If used in the 'up' for tilt opening at the top- it becomes very difficult to get them closed again. Any help and graphic guidance if these are adjustable would be of great help. Thanks

I had this problem with one of ours. A good squirt of WD40 into all the visible moving bits did the trick!

I think maybe some silicone or copper grease might be better and longer lasting as WD40 tends to dry-out rather quickly.....Thanks for the suggestion-I was actually thinking the worst case scenario which has in many instances been totally unfounded. Lubrication is the answer to many problems.....
At least the success of the WD40 indicated that the problem was one of lubrication rather than something having gone wrong with the mechanical parts of the window. If the mechanism starts to stick again, I'll use some grease or oil.
