I have 'ghostbuster' as the answer but can't see the connection between 'buster' and tax official. What am I missing?
Also 6d Parting of the ways (4) f?r? Is this 'ford'? Explanation please.

Thanks to you all. I've never heard of 'ghostbuster' as an employee of the Inland Revenue and my poor old Chambers didn't have it in. Can't believe I didn't think of 'fork'. Will now turn my attention to the Sunday crosswords.
