Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

I'm rather good at this - I'm just prowling around waiting for an early riser to post the Monday morning's link words, it'll make life easier if it's a newbie posting.

It seems to be one of Kate's trickier ones. I make the link words out as :-
13a Carat (carat hand)
6d Cape (cape primrose)
24d Bell ( strong hand???)
26d Poll (exit poll)

I only got one right - would never have begun to guess the others.

Hi JRB - how's the weather in Jersey ?? couldn't be any worse than it is here - cold and very windy !! but then what can you expect in winter.

Ok I've got three of those sorted
Cape Primrose
Hand Bell
Exit Poll

But then I'm left with Carat and Strong and that looks a bit odd so I'll go check and then come back

well,it's sunnyish but dry in Norfolk and it didn't rain last night.

I got zilch for all 4 but I can't work out how Strong and Carat go together.

Still I am no diamond expert! I must move in the wrong circles.

i think 13a is point not carat giving you strong point

well that would definitely go with strong - I couldn't match Carat at all.

If you're still around JRB could you have a second look just to check ??

I must confess to just looking at link words before my spouse took the paper to actually "read the news" , but I can see "point" is right when I look at it again, and much easier than trying to match the wrong word! Carat must have been too obvious.

Thanks for stopping me trying to match strong and carat :)

Hello seekeerz - its much the same here in Jersey. No-one mention global warming in my hearing!! However apart from being lovely weather for ducks it is also good crossword weather.

BTW my previous post should read "makes some sense" I had a touch of the Stanley Unwin's!
