xbox 360 what tv should I get??

Boyfriends bday coming up he has recently got xbox 360 and is playing it all the time. Would like to get him a new bigger tv to watch on. I dont know what to get LCD plasma hd or what.

He plays in the bedroom and there is not really any where to sit so I was thinking of getting a wireless rocker as well :

We have thought about buying a LCD or plasma in the past as we have a 5 year old rear projection in our lounge and thought we would buy a new one and put this old rear projection in our bedroom. I do not know whether a rear projection is good for xbox 360, so I might just have to buy the new one for the bedroom.

I want value for money the biggest screen possible for a good price. Any help or insight from anyone in the know would be great. Thanks in advance.

I supppose it all depends on how much you would like to spend!
I play my xbox 360 on a 40" samsung LCD, it looks great! Think you can pick these up for about �800 now.

Just make sure if you do get an HD set that it has Component HD input (or VGA/DVI) as someone (another post somewhere on Answerbank) recently found out to thier cost that HDMI only TV's aren't compatible with the 360.
