40 The 'Maid of the Mist' is the boat that does tours under Niagra Falls, where you get a rain poncho on the boat and get wet, so could be MAID.

smouse, are you sure no 22 is miller? I thought it might be bishop as there is a brand of cider called Bishop's something or other. If you wondered about why no7 is cooper it's because Gary Cooper was the first choice for the role.

how did you work out the answer to no 27 thanks

bibster It's about Brian May's special guitar which he plays or played using an old sixpence.(tanner) as a plectrum.

Thanks janbuck but I meant I'd got 18 more answers to get..
I am now confused with 27 and 47 got Tanner for both..47 Roscoe Tannner beaten by Borg in 1979 I think..

candled It does say that some answers may be repeated so you can use Tanner twice.
