urgent: anyone know what the quietest time of fridays to drive on motorways?

sorry, i am leaving today asap so need a fast answer. so is there a quiet time for motorways on a friday?

i am off to wales - from liverpool, and haven't been on a motorway before so want to choose the quietest time.

would it be evening or late night perhaps?

also is there a quiet time for saturdays and sundays ?(coming back)

not sure about motorways in the dark - but can't decide whether daylight and busy or dark and quiet is best

i find that dark and quiet is great if i have had a good sleep before hand. If not then it has to be daylight and busy. I find that when i'm tired the dark can be very boring and i'm scared that i'll fall asleep.

i wouldnt go on motorway in dark if its your first time.

When we do long car journeys we usually set off at about 6.30 to avoid rush hours, quietest times are from about 7 onwards depending where you are.

Obviously roads like the ones down to cornwall are usually busy at all times due to volume of holiday traffic.

Make sure you have a decent pair of sunglasses if driving towards sunset

23:00-05:00 is a good time to travel

Fridays stagger in regards to rush hour traffic, it could be busy from 13:00-19:00, ie last day before the weekend early finish etc

im from warrington just near livvapool! bout 3pm - 4 pm is quiet on the way to wales nr u going presthaven sands cos that will only take u bout 45 mins!!!!
