If you go down to the woods today.
I heard Teddy Bears Picnic on the radio for the first time in many years this week. How I loved that song when I was a mere bear cub myself! It reminded me of how I loved to picnic as a child. We were a family of six, we all had to be prepared to be uncomfortable in the car and promise to behave ourselves on the way there!
We would arrive at my fathers chosen spot and set up camp. We children would run off and explore, and I was always convinced Id heard a cuckoo or an owl! My brothers would never believe me! I always had to promise to look after my little sister Rosemary, and I always did my duty and never lost our little Rosebud as we called her (and still do at the ripe old age of 38)!
The Tupperware containers would then appear and we would feast on ham sandwiches and little iced cakes, all washed down with orange squash. How simple that all seems now not a ciabatta, chocolate brownie or smoothie in sight!
At 6 oclock, our Mummy and Daddy would take us home to bed usually with at least one of us sporting a cut, bruise or graze as a badge of honour! It seems like a hundred years ago now; but enough of that Down to the business in hand!
I have followed the same rule as crofter on word length. Each of my chosen link words contains at least four letters and at most eight letters. Stray outside this range and you will be wasting one of your attempts! Remember that the link word may go in front or behind! The competition will officially close on Sunday Evening at 7.00pm, when crofter will declare my selected words and then apply the same rules for awarding points that have been applied during all MM Link Games in the past.

The clues were there (eventually!) : One hundred years ago, Lord Baden-Powell began the Scout Movement and this has inspired me to take as my second theme:
"IN THE BROWNIES"
I, Queen Alibobs, challenge you to predict my chosen links for the following words:
FAIRY
IMP (I am allowed 3-lettered words but you are NOT!)
ELF (ditto)
PIXIE
Good luck to you all!
