Any ideas please for identity of city? Clues are: (a) taxation once based on how wide a house was; (b) lepers allowed into city once a week; (c) now has night club named after constellation; (d) has beach whose name means 'happy village' Pictures show tulips (Turkey?) and grape hyacinths, modern steel architecture, modern flat-roofed building in green/blue? stone located by water, and a gallery displaying modern art. I'd be grateful for any suggestions. Thanks
I think it could be Amsterdam. The houses are very tall and narrow there and I just googled and Amsterdam has a beach called Blijburg which means 'happy village'.
