What has happened to the search facility?
4 Answers
Until recently you could search within each heading (the search box was under the list) but the new search at top and bottom of centre column doesn't work (I've just tested it). What's going on?
Please bring the old search facility back.

After first finding nothing for a word I was sure would be there, I tested it by going down two or three pages in a topic list, noting an unusual word in a question title, then entering that word in the "search" box. Zilch.
If you enter 'site' you tend to get nothing; if you enter 'web' then it seems to act like any other general search engine.
AB ed is probably asleep just now, but when he/she returns to his/her usual vigilance, perhaps this can be sorted out. Please.

but having said that, don't bring back the old one, it wasn't much better - it did allow you to search within individual sections, but the results weren't much help. Goven the amount of info on AB, and the fact that it's meant to function as a sort of archive, it would be nice if there was some way you could actually access it.
