MM & KM Links September 2007 [Week 3}

This is Gen2 here standing in for the third and last time for Crofter who is probably right now packing his bags to return from Teneriffe after two weeks of respite from the shrubbery rabble.

Last weekend I had visitors and so I couldn't supervise the evening's events in the shrubbery. I have no idea what went on, but I do know that my inbox was bursting on Saturday morning and when tidying up during the week, I later found and empty bottle of Islay Malt behind the gooseberry bushes and two ******s behind the azeleas.

I am letting you in once again this week on the understanding that you'll be answerable to crofter for any damage to the plants or for any non-compostable residues left behimd.

Tomorrow will bring the third weekend (of five) in the reign of our Crown Jools More of you seemed to be on her wavelength last week with over half of you scoring, so the question now is 'Can you do it again this week?'. Are you AnswerBank puzzlers still feeling the vibes?.

Switch on, tune in and log on at 8:45 tomorrow for the start once again of the crown jewellery.

For anyone new to the Link games, you can join in at any time. Since the points are accumulated over the whole month, you will be starting off at a slight disadvantage but treat this half month as a practice and then go for gold next month. In any case, you won't be any worse off than the significant minority of regular players who have yet to score this month.

There are two Links Games ~ The MM game (set by one of our own) and the KM game (based on the Kate Mepham GK crosswords in the Daily Telegraph). The first to kick off is KM at about 7.30-ish tomorrow morning. It is organised by seekeerz all the way from Oz. The idea is to try to predict the link words of Herculis (as many hits as possible and as early as possible).

This is followed at 9.00 by the MM Game (with an intro at 8:45), where the links are selected by Jools, who was last month's MM Champion. Games close at appropriate times on Sunday and all entries are scored!

About 50 ABers enter each game each week and it's just a bit of harmless fun!

Very quiet here tonight, thanks for unlocking the gate Gen2, I am sure we put all the bottles in the bottle bank on the way home last week. I remember Pauline trying to squeeze the last drops from most of the ones in her carrier bag before she would drop them in the bank.I will be late doing the MM links tomorrow have to be at work at 9am (sorry) I am therefore stone cold sober tonight (heavy sigh)
so will try to keep an eye on the others for you

Here I am telling Gen2 I would keep an eye on things and there is no one to keep an eye on. Shall sit here in the corner plotting how to beat you all tomorrow, at least in the KM game I should still be here now if I drop off in the corner don't all make a noise when you come in

The game is open to everyone dot. Almost every week we have a new entrant. Points are accumulated over each calendar month so you'd have to be careful not to split them between your aliases. It's all for a bit of fun. Watch out for us again next week.
