Do some folk think we are mind readers ?
Why oh why can they not put the clues as well as any letters.What good is eg, GK 6D 2A to people who don't all take the same newspapers and publications and who would like to help but can't because they haven't got the proper info.

I agree with you totally Shaney it drives me up the wall as well.There should be some automatic mechanism that is sent to all new members when they first register, advising them how to post a question and what information is required .
Regrettably it's not only the 'greenies' who are guilty!

Well I won't be stripping off that's for sure .. but our GRL is a fortune teller on the seafront !
It is annoying K ... .recently someone asked for answers to a crossword that was published a week ago and just gave the 2d 1a 4a etc spiel ..how on earth are you supposed to remember after a week !
But if you say anything they think you are being bolshi !

Seriously, though, I totally agree with Shaney and Kayakamina. It is annoying when clues and/or numbers of letters are not given and I tend to ignore them but this of course defeats the object.

You are all lovely ....I do get out of my pram sometimes but I love to help people with their crosswords but you can only help them ....if they help you !

couldn't agree more,and since there is a separate crossword section,how about keeping crosswords to that and other quizzes/puzzles to the appropriate section!

That brought back the memories shaneystar, liberty bodice with rubber buttons,navy blue knickers with a pocket, and the mangle.We also had a dolly tub and posser and scrubbing board. Thank you that's just cheered me up on this dismal Sunday afternoon.

Shaneystar we used to have a Gypsy Rose Lee on the pier at Llandudno and she also worked at Rhyl sea front, so I guess there are a lot of them around and I agree with you it is very annoying when people don't write the clues. I hated mangling the liberty bodices as the rubber buttons always stuck. Garner at our school we used to have to wear navy nickers but my Mum didn't like me wearing them so I had to wear white ones underneath, that's brought back some memories makes us sound old !!
