I was completely unsure as to where I should post this question, but I thought maybe some of you would remember anything from the news over the last few years. I am studying for A-level Business Studies, and I am doing a case study on British Airways. My task is to identify 6 problems that British Airways has faced within the last 10 years. For example; In June 2005, a Concorde flight from Paris to America, crashed killing 100 passengers, 9 crew members, and 4 people on the ground. After this event, BA still continued Concorde flights which caused great controversy. September the 11th was also another example.
I have scoured the internet to find any more problems, be it financial, economic, natural disasters, etc but I am not having much luck in finding anything. I just wondered if any ABer's can remember or have heard of any issues or problems on the news, about British Airways over the last 10 years?
In August, the Office of Fair Trade fined them 121.5 million for price fixing and the American Department of Justice fined them $300 million for the same reason.
Impact of green taxes. Increased cost of fuel on profits? Replacement aircraft for Concorde and their financing?
