I don't suppose there will be much point in sending any crosswords off next weekend as there will be no post until mid week. The papers might wake up & extend the closing date but I doubt it.

Agree with you. Normally send them second class but sent Herculis and EV first class this morning in the hope they'll get there by Wednesday.

i have just spoken to your postman no post friday, satyrday, monday, tuesday than when they star back it will be 1 hour later start for them. cheersT

My local box was collected this lunchtime - I saw it happen! I asked the collector whether the strike is finished or not and he informed me that actually there are two strikes. One was from Thursday to Saturday (today) and the other from Monday to Wednesday, but any boxes which normally have a Sunday collection (there are none near where I live unfortunately) will be collected tomorrow.
