if has been suggested on this site previously that coins are not sent as the envelopes are being delivered without the coin because they have been torn open

Thats not happening all the time - I send cash nearly always

Not had a problem here either, as long as you stick it between 2 pieces of card to keep it safe so it doesn't roll around.

Never thought of that Diane1954, I've recently been sending cheques because of the misssing coin issues although mine have never been a problem. Sent for numerous ones over recent weeks, I forget which I have sent for so a cheque stub reminds me - down to age I think!!
