The eggs bacon and butter Mr.S fetched back with the DT this morning had also gone up.
We only buy it on a Saturday and Monday now and read it on line the rest of the week.I only buy the ST when they have the puzzle supplement once a month.
If you think about it and you buy it every day for a year that's 208 quid a year ! And that's just for the DT ..Monday to Friday. without taking the weekend papers into the equation.

I get the DT on their voucher scheme which means I get a whole weeks papers for the price of approx one weekday paper plus Sunday's. However I had noticed that today's had gone up in price and feeling slightly smug as I had bought my vouchers in advance then went next door to the newsagent's to the baker to buy some bread. Hubris, nemesis. My small granary loaf had gone up from one quid to 1.10! Thus are the mighty brought low.
