if i've got a bottle with a gallon of gas in it that 25 percent nitrogen and a bottle with a gallon of gas that is 5 percent nitrogen, what quanities would i have to mix together to make a bottle with 10 percent nitrogen in it???

I would imagine that it's one part from the 5% bottle and three parts from the 25% bottle then you would have 10% I think as you have topped up 5% with 5% and got 10% remaining?

My maths is a bit rusty.
You would need a bottle containig 1.6 pints of nitrogen (10%) and 14.4 pints (90%) gas.
Sorry I have worked it out on 2 bottles, it should read 7.2 pints of gas (90%) and 0.8 pints of nitrogen (10%).

Hope that helps.
You would mix 3/4 gallon @ 5% with 1/4 gallon @ 25%.

Then you have 3/4 + 1/4 (1 gallon) @ 3 3/4 + 6 1/4 (10%).

Think of the % as units ... it may help to clarify it.
