there is a 'old slang' word meaning money as in 'salary and wages' ..... the word has many meanings .... e.g.
another term for a propeller;
a cylinder with a helical groove on its outside (thread);
when added to the word thumb, it is an instrument of torture !
a snooker / billiard shot, when followed by the word 'back'
etc etc
