MIce love chocolate.
They absolutely love chocolate.
Snap, cruella. Same time, same place!
Have you tried this method before?
oh yes chocolate.........easter eggs worked well on the last rodent......ewwhhhh
So once you've caught your mouse, what do you intend to do with it?
Not the chocolate, yes they love it... I mean have you tried catching one in a milk bottle? I cant see the mouse going for it Im afraid. If it works though let me know because I have a visitor too!
You can buy humane mouse traps by the way. I would most DIY shops stock them.
Cheese. I've just asked my neighbour and she said she uses cheese and it always worked. She has a farm so you can imagine the number of critters she must catch.

i have'nt tried the milk bottle way before, my daughter saw it on tv, but if it does'nt work i'll buy a humane one from a diy shop, i intend to take it far away and let it go, thank you all so much for your replys
The trouble with cheese is it goes hard quickly when left in the air, therefore you would need to keep changing it if you don't catch one straight away, so chocolate definitely. 10 of the little swines were caught on chocolate.
If you buy a humane trap, do check it often I know someone who used one and forgot to check it - and the poor little mouse starved to death.
So you take the mouse far away and let it go. Have you thought that there may be someone else 'far away' who brings their captured mice to where you live and releases them.

For God's sake just kill them. Then we are ALL rid of them.
in this country, everyone one person is always within 6 feet of a rat.

Lucy Thomas, you are so right, as always. They will continue to multiple and eventually infest the whole place if everyone keep setting them free.
Most homes have problems with the odd mouse only occasionally, and the point of taking them a long way away to release them is so that they do not come back into your house. I thought everyone knew that, Lucy. You really are all heart.
If you take the mouse elsewhere, you are only moving the problem. As I've said, elsewhere to you is home to someone else. They are vermin. That's why people don't want them in their houses. That's why they catch them.

Ergo.

Catch them and kill them.
Ever heard of fields?
They love cuddling up and sleeping in a cozy corner, so put a blanket and some straw on the floor in the corner of your room. You'll find your mouse napping there, shortly after supper.
We've just 'relocated' seven little Wood Mice in two days with this humane trap : http://tinyurl.com/ynqxh2

The bait was Rich Tea Biscuits, but any biscuit will do as we've proved - they love sweet things. Pretty little creatures, so killing was not an option, though I would change my mind if rats were involved!
