Is that BartLett - with no 'L' .... noel ?
good thinking there kettledrum - i've been at this for a while and kept getting pointed to BARTLETT - never thought along yor lines or your train of thought - don't know if you are right or not but you should be - brill'
I was thinking along the same lines but I've already got noel as an answer for another question in the quiz so I've gone for 'pere noel' for this question (from Bartlett's Pears).

How are you doing with the rest, chrisrich31? I've got answers for most of the questions, though some are pretty iffy, but I can't think of anything for number 31.

If you or anyone else could help I'd be grateful.

The dingbat is the word 'elder' above the word 'here' repeated four times:

elder
here here
here here

It could be a Christmas song/carol or a line from one, a Christmas film, food or phrase.
Hi Julifer,

here is usually used to denote if someone is present and an elder is a tree so it looks like sometihng to do with presents under the tree
Hi, I gave this one the other day as...... Presents under the Tree.
Only on riddles cos just for a change I get onto the quizzes and puzzle section
Can anyone give me hints for
44 or 47 please

Thanks for all your replies
I think you may have the answer
I too have Noel as an answer so may go with juliefer's answer
Valerieb has said 'presents under the tree' which was also my answer
I'm still looking for no 31 'CRATCHI'
Any suggestions?
I've heard "Bob Cratchit" mentioned for that one as it is the word CRATCHIT with the end "bobbed" off?
Question Author
Thanks squarebear How obvious when you see the answer!
Well done
Just seen an answer for 47

44 is the numbers 1 to 10 in a speech bubble with the word idea above it
Question Author
smouse the answer to 44 is 'IT'S THE THOUGHT THAT COUNTS'
31. Could this be Tiny Tim - the son of Bob Cratchit. ??Crachi would be a short (tiny) Cratchit.
Tiny Tim is the answer to one of the others
I've gone for Tiny Tim

Thanks for 44
Thanks for your help everyone.
I am confused by
SIMNE

Is it just Noel
have thought shortcake but is that to do with Christmas and then as simnel is a cake is that significant and so then it could be christmas (noel) cake

Anyone got anything better than Noel or do you think it is just that

Pere Noel

Bartlett is a type of pear - so pear no L
bartletts pears partridge in a PEAR tree.
after reading the other answers i see there is no l in bartett, making my answer wrong and the answer of pear noel correct.
Simne...........Shortcake.

Simnel cake is eaten at Christmas
