Could anyone help with this please. In which effects of light and the illusion of movement is used rather than pictures is the clue (two words 2 and 3). Iv'e got O? A?T.

I must say this crossword is not a relaxing experience any longer. Its questions seem to be more and more difficult and unable to be answered without a computer. I realise it could be my merge brain which is deteriorating very rapidly with age!

I entirely agree with you. It is now compiled by Chris Feetenby who said when he announced this that he did not use a computer. I find this very hard to believe. I find many clues so obscure and hardly informative.Yes, you do need a computer.
