Led Zeppelin's reunion gig was heralded as a success and there have been calls for them to plan more concert dates. What with the current obsession with regrouping defunct bands/groups there seems to be no end to the bands that will reform. Which band/group/solo artist would you like to see performing again? Or is it better for musicians to accept that their time has long gone and move on?

I would have sold my kids, house, car and priceless collection of old Jackie annuals to have seen Led Zep last night.
Pink Floyd.

They would be the only band to ever equal Led Zep.
Nirvana (not gonna happen I know) and would love to see Guns n Roses and Stone Temple Pilots although have seen Velvet Revolver a couple of times so i suppose thats a mini recreation.
Steps :-)

What?! I liked 'em!
Blur
The beatles (if only two of them were not dead)
Taste (if only Rory Gallagher was not dead)
but the ones who can are
GnR , The Stone Roses,
Led Zep might be doing a tour in the new year depending upon how well the one off gigs go!
I'm always in two minds about this sort of set-up.

I remember what John Lennon always used to say when asked about reforming The Beatles - "It wouldn;t be the Beatles, it would four old guys who used to be The Beatles ..." and that is a sound argument.

I saw Zeppelin twice, including their penultimate gig at Knebworth - would I want that memory overtaken by a 60+ line-up doing their music? I really don't think so.

That said - Pink Floyd, which has always been the sum of its parts could perfectly reproduce any of their music from any time fro David Gilmour joining onwards - and I would dearly love to see them just one more time.

Failing that - Kajagoogoo anyone?
The Smiths, but it'll never happen unfortunately.

Well, not before the Devil goes skating into work.........
The Specials. Cool with a capital "coo".
Bay City Rollers
5ive bad boys with the power to rock ya

lol not really :D
Gotta be Floyd!
The Beatles, The Bee Gees, Buddy Holly & the Crickets, Glen Miller, The Jimmy Hendrix Experience, The Mammas & the Pappas & The Osmonds!
1) Marillion - with Fish!
2) Tiggerblue's absolutely right - pink Floyd!
1) Marillion - with Fish!
2) Pink Floyd
Marillion with Fish, and Pink Floyd
Space
Pink Floyd and Marillion with Fish!
Gotta be Pink Floyd for me too.

andy-hughes, surely you meant that Pink Floyd is greater than the sum of it's parts? There is a synergy when they play together that just isn't there otherwise.

I saw Roger Waters at Earl's Court earlier this year and although he and his band were brilliant, it just wasn't the same. The magic is only there when all four of the Floyd are together.
