Was'nt too sure about PRESERVE being either Golden shred or gold plate as emeritus went with shred, that'll do for me
Also meat's footballers fear being either fowl or somthing to do with ham as in hamstring.

A shot in the dark but there are references to "Pink Sheets" in share trading and the FT is called the Pink so maybe it could be;

pinks sounds good being plural, as I was stuck with stock were as stockS (as in investmentS) would suggest more than one flower.
