1 Answers
i have a car that is in my name and the details of the car are registered with my details. my ex had part finance on this car in his name of which he informed me that he had cleared. to my surprise the finance company called me stating that he sent them a letter stating my details and that he will no longer be paying for the financehe took on this car.
the company basically are saying that they will take the car if they do not recieve payments.
i was under the impression that the car had no more finance and also i put a deposit of 3000 on this car, which they are saying that they can take. i am living in fear because my ex will no longer recieve any of my phonecalls and pleas to sort this out and stress that the baliffs will come and take my car away. i just want this sorted.

And as the finance is not in your name you wont be able to find out how much is left to pay or how much.
The only thing you can do is to appeal to your ex's better half and find out how much is left. You will probably have to start making the payments yourself to keep the car.
