MM & KM Links January 2008 [Week 3]

Week three already in the reign of Queen Pauline, how time flies! I thought we were starting a record month when Magyar swept the board in week 1 but then he failed to consolidate that lead in week 2, and let Strix nose ahead. At least it's the men leading the pack for a change, so does that mean that Queen Pauline has control of men's brains? I thought maybe sarumite could enlighten us, but he's not doing so well this month either. Maybe it's the turn of the women to score points this week - who knows?


The shrubbery is open once again to everyone prepared to tread carefully and avoid the fallen trees and flooded hollows. Incidentally, I heard a whisper that the narcotics squad have an undercover agent on this site so please, no substance abuse tonight - in any case, you need a clear head for the morn's morn.


As usual, the bonus points will be there for the taking as you emerge confused and sleepy headed from the shrubbery at 9:00 am tomorrow and remember that the thread will be opened by Psychic Pauline at about 8.45 in the morning. The MM Link Game should then be officially launched by Queen Pauline when she posts her four words to be linked at 9.00am. Then it is up to yourselves.


The international version of this same game is called KM Links and kicks off somewhat earlier once the crossword clues have been solved. Look out for seekeerz from Oz who provides the entertainment, refreshments and rule of law when dealing with that parallel game. In this case, the choice of words and their links are out of our control. They are the grey words chosen by Kate Mepham in her GK Crosswords in the Daily Telegraph on Saturday and Monday!

Hi everyone .. while you have all been drinking to excess and cavorting in the deepest recesses of the shrubbery, I've been slaving away to finish the Guardian cryptic (with a little help from he who knows).
Sorry I couldn't join you tonight ... not sure if I'm quite up to controlling all these wayward laydeees at present!! But don't get too complacent Miss Pauline et al, I shall return next week !!! :O)

My thoughts for tomorrow were another biblical theme, perhaps to do with 10 commandments or as already suggested Noahs ark.
Really I haven't got a clue but am going to try harder tomorrow with a new strategy, not rush in but think a bit first. Wee I can't do any worse than I have done for the last 2 weeks.....nil points.
I am going to turn in now as suddenly I feel shattered and have loads of washing to do tomorrow. (the only problem with going away)
