Hello this is King fordward again and here we are on week two already. I will thank Gen2 for doing the business once again, what would we do without him. So what am I up to this week, well it's a wee spot of reminiscing as my birthday approaches on "unlucky for some". I was remembering when I would go dancing in our local hall to all the well known Scottish dance bands, then whoosh I was in England (missionary work!!) a different kind of dancing. I remember seeing Joe Brown and the Bruvvers in Wolverhampton, and then I was dancing in Ripon to the local groups. I seem to remember the hall was just off the square up some stairs? The memory fades after a while, then it was off to my island of dreams (I wish). Two years in Aden listening to such gems as "Eve of destruction" and "Guantanamera", anybody remember them? Our favourite out there was "We gotta get out of this place" by the Animals. Then it was back home to get married and into a flat in Harrogate, yes lots of good memories of the swinging sixties.
Back to the present day reality of a cold wet and windy February. Working outdoors with the weather as it is just now, I am dreaming of a spring break, maybe on a beach of golden sand and a fair bit of sunshine to go with it.
