doogied - "at least I'm making an effort at solving the clues".
I notice that statement doesn't include the words "on my own". If you can't find an answer under your own means, why can't you leave a blank space? What possible satisfaction do you (or anyone else) get from using someone else's answers? Does it make you feel better? I can promise you there is no shame in leaving a blank space on your entry form - you should try it, rather than using someone else to give you the answer. Remember, this is a charity quiz, so you are supporting the charity by buying the quiz - it doesn't say anywhere that you have to enter 130 answers!

Hi Doogied.
Thanks for your clues. I actually worked 101 while I was out at lunch from your earlier clue!. I think I was trying to make it a lot harder than it was!. I thought I had put 41 into ask but I shall try again.
I am not good at giving clues but for number 98 I suggest you look at the parts they have played.
108. I googled cathedrals and the picture eventually came up.
115. Googled "painting women field" in images
120. Previous clue given was that it is in Yorkshire. Google famous people from Yorkshire and then use images.
121. Clue previously given as Famous English Cricketer.
Hope these help.

sir.prize - as I'm sure you are aware, the irritation comes from the lazy ones ruining excellent quizzes by asking for so many answers on sites such as this rather than doing the hard work themselves. It is surely easier to enter some search terms in google than it is to become a member of these Q&A sites and ask the question on here.
By asking on here, the answer is given away in the public domain, whereas doing the research yourself keeps the answer to yourself - as "smouse" says decisive questions are being given away on here when some of us have put in a lot of our own effort to find the answers to difficult questions - hence the irritation.

boysinblue - I can understand your logic. But if a facility is available, then people will use it. Especially if it is renowned for such information and aptly named AnswerBank. And perpetual criticism by self appointed 'police' will make not a bit of difference. Maybe a sad situation - but that is human nature I guess.
sir.prize - I am not, nor do I claim to be, any kind of self-appointed police - I am only voicing my opinion. As I said on another thread, my username has nothing to do with the constabulary (and the number is a significant part of the name).
I find it very disappointing that people (in this instance) know the good reputation of the Macmillan quiz, yet still seem to devalue it by giving answers to the lazy people who ask the questions. And as you say, it is human nature and the lazy ones will continue to ask as long as those on here continue to answer.

I have managed to do the vast majority of this quiz on my own. I have had some help from a friend who isn't competing and from two friends who are. It is galling to find after hours of searching and finding the answer by one's own efforts to find that it has been posted on this site. Life isn't fair and never will be but the solution is in my own hands in this case - I shouldn't look at Answerbank if it's going to annoy me! What you put into Google governs what comes out and sometimes you have to try several approaches. Even then you maybe missing that key word or phrase and you still can't solve the question. That's when Answerbank can be helpful whether with the answer or just a clue. I only solved 106 because I've seen the picture in another quiz. Without that knowledge I wouldn't have known where to start. So let's stop this bickering and help one another. The questions we've answered on our own might be wrong so giving answers/clues here might not necessarily affect the outcome.
Now would some one like to give me a clue to 63 - I didn't like the earlier suggestion for this one.

woofer - with the greatest respect - if you can't find out for yourself (or amongst friends), what is wrong with leaving a blank space? If the answer is posted on here, it is in the public domain, and yes you will have it, but so will everyone else. Some people seem to be giving extremely obvious clues - they may as well give the answer. Personally, I sat for hours trying to do the dingbats and have yet to complete them, but I don't want a clue to the one(s) I am missing, I'll keep trying and then leave it balnk if I can't work them out. I think they may be decisive questions along with the pictures - so the more that are given away on here, the more the quiz turns into a lottery.
boysinblue. Nothing wrong in leaving blank spaces but if I can fill them all in by any means then why not. And 63 is my only blank space so I think there's nothing wrong in asking for a clue. Life is a lottery and quite honestly there are more important things in life to get annoyed about . I must say that you and sodemall are making this site more entertaining than watching television.
