Good Evening AB Linkers, everywhere!
This is a little earlier than usual, since I am about spend a pleasant evening at a local Italian Restaurant with colleagues to celebrate someone's 40th Birthday.

This posting will be my first for MM in over two months. My sincere thanks go to gen2 for holding the fort so admirably in my absence and permitting me to have some much-needed personal time. I tried last week at this time to post a letter of explanation on AB but met with problems at the "posting" stage. "So what's new?" I hear you ask!
In case you missed my eventual message, it can be reached using the quick-link given below:

However, I don't wish to dwell on the past, but look to the future!

This will be the first week in the reign of Lady Alex and I shall be launching the MM Word Game on her behalf tomorrow morning at 8.45 (AB willing). I shall explain more on this tomorrow.

I dont expect there will be much improvement from those miscreants lurking in the Shrubbery. The sport is open to all and newcomers are truly welcome ~ and with every chance of success. Last months Champion, Lady Alex, was top scorer at her first attempts at the February Links. The four words to be linked will be declared at 9.00am tomorrow, when MM Links kicks off in earnest.

The international version of this same game is called KM Links and kicks off at the unearthly hour of about 06.30am! Look out for seekeerz from Oz who provides the sustenance and moral support for all entries. Why not chance your arm at both?
Good to see you back crofter - Enjoy your Italian.
Just to echo JimJools' comment ---Enjoy the meal and good to see you back in harness. Hope things are getting back to some semblance of normality for you.
Buon' appetito, crofter!

Welcome back .... and I'm sure we all look forward to trying to get into the new mysteries of ladyalex's neural workings.
really plesed to see you back, hope the shrubbery didn't look too bad when you opened up. Just blame any mess on the earth quake on Wednesday morning
It wasn't us guv honest!

Good evening all.
The shrubbery looks clean and tidy tonight, you girls did a good job last Friday. We must try and keep it that way.
Welcome back Crofter, hope you are enjoying your meal.
Gosh, it's quiet in here tonight.

Has everyone but me been invited to join crofter?

Should I take it personally?

Will anyone join me by the herbaceous border for a swift one - I've got the first round in!
thanks big mac, not sure where they are all hiding, hope they are not all plotting somthing

Hello everyone, just to let you know that Pauline is out for the evening and I have visitors who I have just left for a minute to come and say "hello".
As Pauline is absent I am afraid it may be quiet because we know who is the baddie in the Shrubbery.
It's very windy here tonight and I have open fields to the side of my house so the wind really whistles round. What with that and the earthquake last week I am fed up with the weather.
Did any of you experience the earthquake?
Will pop back in a bit for a quick update,
BigMac, I'd be delighted to join you for a 'swift one' .. is there a real ale on your tray?

Jan .. oh dear, you caught me hatching a fiendishly cunning plan to storm the MM links game with my sure fire winning formula!! ☺☺ (S)
very windy here too Kay, have been to the dentist so had to be quiet for at least 10 minutes!
will all have to hold the tent pegs down in the shrubbery tonight
jan
What earthquake? Have I missed something? I heard a chimney had fallen down somewhere but just thought it was a (very) slow news day.

Anyway, one of thse drinks should be the exquisite Timothy Taylor's Landlord, sarumite - looks like it's got your name on it, so I'll have to go back to the bar.. unless someone else is buyuing?
big mac the earthquake on Wednesday!!!!
Timothy Taylors Landlord. I'd love a pint of that - one of the countrys best beers.
Cheers
Sorry, my tongue was slightly in my cheek...

Remind me, how many people killed? Damage to infrastructure? Displaced persons? Red Cross appeals?

Hmm. As they said in the Santiago Sentinel:

"Small earthquake in Britain - no Chileans killed"
The earth didn't move for you then big mac.
I never felt a thing either, it didn't affect us southerners
Cheers BigMac .. I can certainly manage that, mmmm that wasn't bad for a taster!!

Now it must be my round, what's your poison boys and girls?
