Well its a lot cheaper than over here, some of the restaurants around Times squre are pricey, but there are some good fair priced steak hoses around the area as well, and if you are having a breakfast just go into the diners the locals use, they are good value, enjoy it, its a great place.
Hi-it's me again garland...I just answered your "food"Q.....I was in NYC last August to visit my family...and the food was as good value as ever!.....I would say that on average it is about 1/3 cheaper than here. Look for ethnic restaurants and American diners....huge choice and huge portions. We had a wonderful Middle -Eastern meal for around a tenner each.
Agree \with pasta, and the service is better, far more polite than here, and as for the portions, no contest, always get free refills of coffee, soft drinks etc too.
breakfasts are often big enough for two. One has the toast and orange juice and the other one gets the eggs and coffee, or however you want to split it.
