Hi Javert, yup, that time of the month again!!
What I've got currently and please use only as a guide, (particularly after the tank debacle!!) is;
Q.45.this could be something organised by Geldof, following on from his last do.
Q.77. Very iffy at the moment with initials, ss I think this one needs more work.
Q.142.this person was one of the "Groupe des Six .
Remember as they say in quiz-speak, check and check again.
I,m finding 144 a bit of a tease , any ideas?
Surely 142 is a straight google?
144 can be googled too, though you might have to research through several racing websites to confirm it...

Sorry! I meant to type in 147 not 142 and I have it now. Thanks anyway.
144 is probably the best known English jockey of all time and his first name sounds the same as an English city.

Thanks. I have now got 45
Question Author
I have now got 45. Thanks
Doh! And to think I wasted my time researching 144 for myself...
Thanks Javert, the name you allude to is the one I have "in the frame", but I haven't found a direct reference to this pairing, in all the sites I've searched.-and they have been many!!!!

Go into Google, type in Aintree 1968 and click on the site called Sporting Chronicle. That should leave you in no doubt.
