1. Up and up?
2. Agincourt (AG in COURT)
"Double up" is better for 1.
3. Get a move on.
4. Cheese on toast.
5. quarterback, half-back, full-back??

Thanks pquinlan and JMR 27. The suggestions for 3, 4 and 5 are definitely right. I think that there might be some relevance to the full stop after the 2 UP's in No. 1 and although Agincourt sort of fits the bill, I am thinking on the track of "short of courage/bravery" somehow. What do you think? T
1 Up to a point
Right up to a point?
Question Author
Thanks Junkman - Up to a point sounds perfect.
Yes, on reflection Agincourt is kind of unlikely, but I can't get anything else out of it along courage lines... When you get the solution will you add it to this post please? (I prefer "right up to a point" - why are there two ups?)
Question Author
Having thought about it more I now think that Agincourt could well be correct. The answers can be a phrase, place or thing so Agincourt fits within those parameters, and as Roy Walker used to say on Catchphrase, if you say what you see A G in COURT you do get Agincourt. The 'Up to a point' answer must be right. The dingbat is UP UP. - which gives you up to (two) a point. I do accept though that 'Right up to a point' also fits as the right hand UP is next to the full point.
Fair point about UP UP. Good luck, hope you win.
