If so, how about St. Croix in the US Virgin Islands? Originally home of white sheep, but now in many countries, a breeder can only register a sheep as a St. Croix sheep if it is white. However, I cannot find a specific reference to 'White-Faced'

Got the answer,,,,,,,,,,,,it's Texel. A small island off Holland and a breed of sheep. Should have known this as we have acquaintances who breed texel sheep in the Lake District!!
