Hi Aeronut.

The answer is undercroft, a crypt or vault.

It is all clued as a reverse reading:

t - Theseus at first
forced - compelled
r - Minotaur's end
nu - Greek character.

Place Minotaur's end in forced and read it all in reverse.

Brilliant.
Now I've got to rethink my answer for 5D, which was guid gift (Rob. Burns) as a response to fine smoke and and fine fruit given up on Scot's mutual concessions (4,4)
Try giff-gaff - fine smoke = f fag; fine friut = f fig (reverse)
