Thank you. I got the "rick" part but I'd have never found the barton bit.
Where does it come from please?

I don't really know where it actually comes from Steven ..I guessed it was something to do with haystacks . I live in a part of the world we have a lot of "Bartons " in village names and a lot of haystacks dotted around !
Looked it up in Chambers and there it was Rick -Barton .. a stack yard .
