Last one!! I always get stuck on these 'sound alike' clues! 27d: Sound of bells in IoM town (4) ?e?l -is it p 'peal' (sound of bells) or Peel (Isle of Man town)? Thanks!

peel is a place on the isle of man
There is a Peel in the IOM.

I know, but 'sound of bells' is 'peal' so as that is first in the clue, shouldn't the answer be 'peal'?
I agree - always spend ages wondering which is which. But I think the 'sound' part is not usually the spelling for the answer, so I would go for Peel too.
