NO NO NO! Do not ask for clues so early. 2 weeks to go.Ask your friends and family or google image a few well known names. There's lots of info given in the blurb. I found them all easily .I am getting in a very bad mood with you.
I am getting in a very bad mood with you Tallulah. I'm getting more and more fed up with those who have seemingly decided on becoming the thought police. You have absoloutely no personal right to 'bang on' at people like this. I've decided that whenever I come across posting like this I'll give the answer if I have it just because I've had it with the Orwellian,1984, attitude that seems to prevail.

So, Virgil, I'm not at all sure but I think it might be Gordon Brown as I think I've got answers for the other three and none of those is a politician.

Many thanks for your support. When I submitted my question I did not expect to be shouted at ( I believe that`s what capital letters indicate) and lectured by some small-minded self-appointed vigilante. I agree with you completely. If people do not wish to answer, that`s fine but there`s no need to attack people in this way.
Let us leave Tallulah to nurse her wrath.
I agree this is the politician but I am not sure about Gordon Brown. There are some pictures of him as a schoolboy on Google Images but they are not conclusive.
Anyway, thanks again.
I agree that it's a bit early to ask for help, but at least only a clue was asked for - the response could have been less vehement...
It's about time Quizmail printed a suggested protocol with their quizzes...
People are just posting red herrings and wrong answers so that you, virgil , will lose. At least I don't do that and I do help out just before the posting date. Use your back button and you will see.
There are so few people entering Quizmail since the AB started that it will fold soon. The prize money is half the amount when our team started entering in the nineties.
I just think that asking for clues 2 days after the quiz has been posted is not 'cricket'.
Sorry.

I don`t think chronology matters so much as the amount of work that has been done before a question is submitted. I always put many hours in at the beginning of the competition, as I did on this occasion. That is just my particular approach. Remember, the quiz is available online from Tuesday so my question was four days later, not two.
However I accept there is a question of perception here and I take your point. I am quite prepared to take criticism provided it is expressed in a reasoned and reasonable manner.
Thank you.
