MOS has anyone won?
26 Answers
I've been sending in the Mail on Sunday prize crossword for the last 8 years every week without fail (except when on holiday). Not a sniff!! Has anyone out there won or knows of anyone who actually has?

I once read someone on here who reckoned he's won 4 times, but I don't believe it, unless he has a remote postcode and is the only one in the area to do the crosswords.
Never mind, it's all good for the mind, as long as you don't resort to this site too often.

I won 25 from the YOU crossword many years ago and like you i have been doing all three from the MOS for about 6 years.
I'd like to say thank you to all the people who ask the questions as i can usually find my answers from the postings.
An extra THANK YOU to the clever folks who submit the answers too.
I live in hope.

Mr Chrysaor recently received a cheque for 100 from the Sunday Express. As we were away and didn't get the paper we were unable to see his name printed and we're not sure what competition it was for - most likely the smaller crossword or it could have been the Giles cartoon (we occasionally send that in). It's a bit odd there was no indication with the letter.
hi everyone i too have been doing these crosswords and sending them off for years. have won twice on daily mail 20. better than nothing. and yes miss skippy people down south do enter, crossyfan from fareham sends off nine on sunday and two every day of the week. lets hope well all have some luck soon x crossyfan
I won the Daily Express, that was a surprise since I
had on done the Tuesday one once, they did state
the date of the comp which was good because the
cheque did not arrive until 6 weeks later and I had
forgotten about it.
A relative of mine in Sligo, R.O.I. won 2,000 Euro
in I.M.O.S. (same crossword as in M.O.S.
hope jaynethepain you are a winner soon.

I did the S/express since the mid 1960s. People used my library to look up answers and I got hooked then. Still do it but ,since I discovered AB, only just for fun. The entries must have doubled since those early days.I think the postage over all 40 years must add up to more than the prize. I did win runner up for You magazine but don't send in any now.
