Samsung phone problem.

I've got a sony w810i phone and a samsung sgh-s500i phone. When I try to download games they work for the sony but on the samsung it says "unsupported file format" when I try to open the game. The strange thing is that if I send a game to the samsung it doesn't work but if I send it from the samsung to the sony the game works on the sony. Anyone know why this is happening?
