Or has responding when you try to help gone out the window. Not hankering for thanks or stars but it would help to know if you are at least near the mark. I know people can be called away but today alone myself and lots of others are left hanging on at least ten posts?

I know what you mean, if someone asks a question, in my opinion it's only courtesy to say thanks, that was it. Or no you are way off the mark. Happens far too often on here these days. Sad but true. You're not being petty at all. xxxx

I very much suspect that the only people who will read your post are the answerers who are just as fed up as you.

The culprits are the hit-and-run types and will be long gone by now. Campagning is a waste of time as I proved when trying to get posters to give the clues and number of letters with requests.

I'm afraid that is how society is going these days - not just on here, but in real life too.

I agree. if it's something petty or silly, that's fine but if you've given it some thought or a done bit of research.... "thanks" takes next to no time.

Wow that touched a nerve didnt expect such a response like i say not just thanks really but is it the right or wrong answer. Gen2 dont be too cynical lots of good people out there too. Bazzy Han will let you off if didnt know how. A gret big thankyou to you all dont feel so bad now.

I agree too, and it certainly makes me not want to help those people again - I recently posted the answer to a music question which I know was correct, the poster obviously didn't agree with me and rather than asking futher details about it proceeded to post the question twice more, stating that they had been given the answer but didn't think it was right. Just a case of manners, not being petty at all.

I've thanked a lot of people for their answers, and been thanked in return. If a serious question's posted, I think it's only courtesy, but people can be forgiven for forgetting - or even losing track of their posts. In advance, I'll thank everyone who gives me a pleasant reoly to my questions! x

Oh I totally agree Ice there are always circumstances that can prevent you, but as Cheekychick pointed out sometimes no acknowledgement then it is posted again, anyway is off my chest nowLOL

Totally agree mamyalynne! I try to help too and it is disheartening when no response is forthcoming. It's got to the stage now that I know the names of those who don't respond and now I ignore their questions. Please don't give up though, there are still a lot of nice folk here who do appreciate your answers:o)

I feel it too sometimes. You go out of your way, and may be the only person that has answered. Then there is nothing. No star. No acknowledgement and no thanks...... so you think why did I bother.

Nothing wrong with a whingy head! It gets to everyone now and again - especially when you've done a fair bit of research to provide an answer. Rest assured however, that when you answer one of my questions I ALWAYS say thankyou and I'll give you three stars! regards, judy :o)

i always try to say thanks for any answers I get, but must admit I often spend an evening googling, then may post before I go to work in the morning. At work I can check whats on board occassionally but I can't post (it wont let me log in), but I always try to post when I get home.

Its the same with answers, by the time get to give any answers, they've normally been done.

Just in case there are any I've missed, many many thanks. Always appreciate the people who take their time to help. (Now if I could find someone to give me the lottery numbers I wouldn't have to work and could feed my passion all day )
